Best of Boots, video, 5:52 minutes, 2006

The boots became personified, hence completed tasks and activities to include walking the dog, chopping apples, jumping on the bed, and playing the xylophone. I would wear each boot until it fell apart and no longer served its intended purpose.
Let’s Roll in the Hay
Let’s Roll in the Hay, Event, Angel’s Gate Cultural Center, San Pedro, CA, June 24, 2007
Exchanging its popular definition with a literal one, to “roll in the hay” is to roll around in the hay with someone in a playful way. At Angel’s Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro, CA, I set up a “hay-pen” and invited visitors to lay on top of me or each other to “roll in the hay.” This activity offered an opportunity for people to come together, engage in conversation, laughter, and last but not least, roll around in prickly hay.
